Did you know that at the end of your 2 year contract instead of looking online or walking into a cell phone store outlet, your contract becomes month to month agreement. You don't have to worry about early termination fees. If you decide not to work with your current wireless provider. That is if a gorilla or a pet have not stepped on your cell phone and your cell phone is in good running condition. Most people don't know that if you go to cartoys, best buys or even online and get a free cell phone, that let say the Samsung Blast is $120. THe carrier may be charging you $5.00 per month for a 2 year period. Which equals $120. So if you let the cell phone contract lapse the $5 dollars you were charged will not suddenly go away. That is why most people get a new cell phone every 2 years. My advice. If you don't plan on staying with your wireless carrier. Type in the search engines: free cell phone and sign up for a brand new free smartphone where you can turn your phone to a tv, PC and a stereo. This is true if the carrier has to pay for cell phone manufacturer for the cost of the cell phone. So you are actually the one paying for the cell phone. This is not always the case. The only way you would really find out is speak to the T-mobile, Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint customer service manager and say if I get a free phone do I actually have to pay for it over a 24 month period.
So many don't bother to read their cell phone bill. I don't blame them, there are so many charges. They would rather go to a neighborhood restaurant to eat fine food instead of analyzing their cell phone bill after a stressful day with the boss or husband yelling at them.
Did you know if you pay full price for the phone
You don't have to sign a cell phone contract. The wireless providers will not be creating beautiful flash graphics to advertise this because they won't consumers to sign a 2 year contract because they will make the money from you by the monthly calling plans. However, by paying full price for the cell phone. You can still get a monthly contract without having to sign a contract or even worry about a termination fee. Some carriers will make you pay an advance and if this is not suitable for you forget it.
Spring PCS offers only 1 low monthly calling plan if you want to pay for the sprint handset
With AT&T and T-mobile if you want to pay full price for the cell phone, you have to get in your car and drive to the nearest walk in at&t or T-mobile store to get this deal. Typically, the full priced phones are $100 and up. You can not do this online or on the Internet.
