There is no QWERTY Keyboard

We like the touchscreen response even without the QWERTY Keyboard. I was easily able to type a letter of appreciation to my Men's Group that gets together 1 time a week to discuss how to make more money with our HTC or Other Mobile devices. I can type in both the vertical and landscape mode. What I love about The HTC hero is that I can perform all these functions:

1. Access Google Calender
2. Access Google Gmail
   I like the fact I can also add IMAP/POP email accounts as well as Microsoft exchange support if I chose to.
3. Access Google Talk, I don't have to use my Sprint Anytime minutes
4. Access Google maps

If you only have one child that could be manageable. If you have more than one child you may want to ask grandparents, your spouse, child psychologists, a funny clown to spend one hour with your child and give him or her undivided attention.
