I was jealous of my friend's touch screen Iphone Smartphone

Until I realized that I too can have a touchscreen phone

Apparently according to a famous enlightened sage, if we can rid ourselves of grasping, aversion, and ignorance, we will find true happiness. I was grasping and ignorant at the same time, I thought you had to own an Iphone 4G in order to enjoy the touch screen experience until I came to this community focused site. I was grasping and in a state of envy because my friend had an Iphone 4G with all the fun and cool user interface one would not get on a non apple phone. The problem is the more we narrow our experiences to what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. I am using my touch screen Droid X to cultivate a way of living where I observe detachment, aversion and indifference. Do you find you only have 3 kinds of responses to situations and problems? Those we dislike, those we like and those we are indifferent to. To put it into more lay man terms, they relate to enemies, friends and strangers.

I am using my Droid X by Motorola to record all the people in my contact list in 3 categories: persons I like, persons I dislike and persons I am indifferent to. I am discovering that this particular person I strongly dislike has more to do with the fact she has traits that are similar to my mother and I have as yet not forgiven for her past doings. I realize my feelings for this person, lets call her, Molly often is associated with my judgement of her weakness as an individual to overcome her bad luck in life.
